Of Jackson, MI passed away under the care of the wonderful staff at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI, after a valiant battle with leukemia on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the age of 60. She was born to Gerald and Wilma (Dena) Blair on May 20, 1957 in Tacoma, WA. Sue was preceded in death by her mother Dena. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Bruce D.; children, Jennifer (Kris) Shenefield, Dan Piper, Tara (Jason) Harris, and Dusty Grabert; grandchildren, Ryaleigh, Kavin, Jason Jr., Destiny, Faith (Cameron), and Eternity; great grandson, Landon; father, Gerald (Mary) Blair; sisters, Barb (Dayna) Blair, Kathy (Mark) Elsesser; brother, Don (Sheila) Blair, Brian (Julianne) Grabert, Barry (Linda) Grabert; as well as several nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. Sue was a 1975 graduate of Northwest High School and a faithful employee of the Jackson Citizen Patriot for 23 years before moving to North Carolina. She returned to Jackson in 2000 working at several financial institutions, most recently Raymond James. The family will receive friends for visitation at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 22 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be held at Rives Baptist Church, 2800 W. Berry Rd, Rives Junction, MI on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Memorial gifts can be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter. Family and friends support has been appreciated as Sue battled the Myelofibrosis and Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
