Tanya Dayton, age 69, of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 3, 2024. She was born on July 2, 1955. Tanya is survived by her husband, Roger Dayton, married for 49 years, and daughter, Sabrina Dayton. She was preceded in death by her brother John Snyder.
Tanya volunteered many years with the Irish Hills Girl Scouts while her daughter was growing up and after Sabrina graduated from high school. She received the President’s Award and Thank You Badge for all her years of services with Girl Scouts. She worked for Consumers Energy for 29 years. After retiring from Consumers, her and her daughter started a craft business. Her favorite pastimes were road trips, camping, enjoying a good campfire, bird watching and working on puzzles and games.
She touched many lives and will be missed by many.
Per Tanya’s request cremation will take place and services/memorial will not be held.
