Teresa Lynn Sutherland –
She was born August 19, 1964, in Charlotte, MI to loving parents, Dick Sutherland and Rebecca (Ray) Sutherland Scott; she passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 1, 2020 in her home in Jackson, Michigan. She is survived by her three daughters: Amanda (Matthew) Beauchene, Angela (Paul Pousson) Curl, and Danielle Curl; as well as nine grandchildren: Brendon Beauchene, Kaelyn Beauchene, Carter Beauchene, Josiah Beauchene, Myka Pousson, Riley Pousson, Avery Pousson, Arianna Strength, and Liliana Strength; her father and stepmother, Dick and Jan (Kubik) Sutherland; four brothers: David (Margaret) Sutherland, Thomas (Lana) Sutherland, Dennis Sutherland, and Andrew (Trina) Sutherland; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Teresa attended Lumen Christi High School in Jackson, MI, and worked at various places in Jackson during her lifetime. Described as a true friend, kind, gentle, funny, and caring by all who knew her, Teresa was that rare gem who kept in touch with many, many people, and always had a listening ear. Without question, the absolute lights of her life were her three daughters and her nine grandchildren. She was never happier than when she was spending time with her daughters and their families. She had the good fortune to spend extended amounts of time with each family at various times, getting to know her grandchildren and spoiling them as only the most loving Grandma would, and they all loved her deeply. Teresa loved animals, cats and dogs, and they were drawn to her gentle nature. Teresa will be dearly missed by all who were touched by the time she spent with them, and her contagious smile and happy laugh will be forever remembered as a bright light in the world. May she forever Rest in Peace with Jesus her Savior and God her Creator in whom she believed with her whole heart. Her daughters and parents would like to invite all who knew Teresa to a Celebration of Life service to be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, 406 First Street, Jackson, MI, 49201. Visitation will be from 10 am-11 am with a prayer service from 11 am-12 pm.
