Of Jackson, passed away peacefully, while under the care of Henry Ford Allegiance Health, on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 61. He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Bartig and his father, Roland Bartig. He is survived by his mother, Florine; sister Connie Bartig; brother, Gerald (Ann) Bartig; niece, Michelle Kaufman and nephews, Aaron (Kate) and Evan Bartig. Tom was born in Jackson on July 18, 1955. He proudly served in the Michigan National Guard for fourteen years and was truly a patriot. Tom loved his family, enjoyed hotrods, cookies and flirting with the ladies. Cremation has taken place according to his wishes and there will be no services at this time. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association or to a charity of one’s choice.
