Born and raised in Jackson, Virg was the middle child to Don and Olga Lazaroff. She played many roles through her life. After graduating from Jackson High School she studied to be a beautician and practiced cosmetology for a while then moved on to other endeavors. She became a mother for the first time in 1975 and raised two children. As the children got older, she worked in a few of her father’s restaurants, moved on to the accounting department at the local newspaper, and finally settled into an administrative role supporting her husband and brother-in-law’s family business. Even at an early age she loved to travel and was fortunate to have visited several countries throughout the world. She always loved a good party and had a mad sense of style. Her sense of humor was legendary; you never knew what she would say next. She was a wonderful mother, sister, and wife. Preceded in death by her mother and father, Don and Olga Lazaroff, brother Michael Lazaroff, and daughter Angela Zwick; she left behind her sister Patricia Gilchrist, brother-in-law John Gilchrist, Frank, sister-in-law Shelly Lazaroff, son Theodore Zwick, niece Amanda Burns, nephew Nicholas Lazaroff, several cousins, and countless friends who were all considered family. She and her husband Ron were taken from us on the same day. A memorial service for Virg will be held at St Demetrius Orthodox Church on Friday, May 17, 2024. Visitation starts at 10:00am, funeral service at 11:00am. Virg will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery following the service. Please join us. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to St Demetrius Building Fund.
