Vivian A. Donner

Of Jackson, joined her husband of 50 years, Joseph A. Donner in heaven on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the age of 91, while under the care of her family. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Donner, two sisters, and one brother. Vivian is survived by her three daughters, Susan (Robert), Nancy and Janice; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Justin), Justin, Anna, Joshua and Caitlin; four great grandchildren, Crispin, Candace, Matthew and Emery; and her brother, David Hodges. Vivian was born in Cadillac, Michigan on September 17, 1930. After graduating Cadillac High School, she was employed with Consumers Power. She married Joseph on September 5, 1953 and together they raised a family. A long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she was active in church life and was pleased to be a co-founder of Immanuel Food Pantry. Vivian loved caring for her grandchildren and traveling with her family. A celebration of Vivian's life will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church (1505 W. Michigan Ave. Jackson, 49202) on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m until the time of service at the church. Live streaming will be available at immanueljackson.org. Vivian will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
