Alec G. Smith “Ace Boiy” passed away unexpectedly June 12, 2014 at the young age of 20. Alec was a wonderful big brother to Ryan and a valued and caring friend to many. He had numerous talents including building computers, playing the electric guitar, and he was an avid gamer. Alec was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray & Maggie Smith and Donna & Jerry Tomecek and is survived by his parents, Shelby & Joni Smith; brother, Ryan; aunts and uncles, Sally Bruce (Michael), Lucy Hill (Jim), Teri Dam, and Scott Tomecek (Dayna); cousins, Megan, Kelly, Michelle, Jayme, Grant and Devyn; and many friends. His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at HARDGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. A celebration of his life will be held 3 p.m. Thursday June 19th at the Church of Eleven22, 14286 Beach Blvd #2, Jacksonville, FL 32250.
