Barry was born on March 9, 1947 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Zilla Mae and Rudolph Smith. He worked in sales for Printing Supply Companies. When not working he loved to fish, hunt, and travel.
Barry is survived by his wife, of almost 40 years, Deborah Lynn "Debbie" Smith. Children Allen (April ) Smith, Sheri Dean, Brent Smith, and his little Bellaboo. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister-in-laws: Sylvia Arnold, Krista Ashford and Lisa (Jim) Hope. Uncle, Thomas Menear. And numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 am on July 25, 2026 at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, Fl, 32250. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am.
