Bessie B. Pittman, 98, passed away January 11, 2013. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High in 1932 and following business college, worked as a legal secretary and secretary at San Pablo Elementary. She was longtime resident of Jacksonville Beach and member of Beach United Methodist Church for more than 60 years.
Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard, she is survived by her son, Keith Pittman; grandson, Stephen Leavins, and David & John Pittman and their mother, Bea Pittman.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15th in the historic chapel at Beach United Methodist Church in Jacksonville Beach. Interment will follow in H. Warren Smith Cemetery. For those who prefer, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
