

Mr. Fetzer was born July 5, 1933 in Manchester Tenn., to Ruth and Roy Fetzer moving shortly thereafter, to become a Florida resident.
He spent most of his early life in South Florida where he graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School.
He attended the Florida Community College at Jacksonville, University of Florida, Jacksonville University, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Management.
He was a member of Phi Delta Theta social fraternity.
He completed the curriculum at the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pa. for the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and for the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.
He served in the U.S Army in Europe and was a member of Kiwanis International for several years.
In 1955 he began his career in the insurance business as a life insurance agent and in 1957 was employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida as a group sales representative in South Florida; Later, in 1964, he was promoted to director of sales training, moving from South Florida to reside in Jacksonville.
In 1965 he was promoted to Vice President-Operations of the newly formed Florida Combined Insurance Agency, a subsidiary of Florida Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Later he transferred to Florida Combined Life Insurance Company when the new subsidiary was formed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida in 1987, which merged operations with Florida Combined Insurance Agency, in Jacksonville, where he was appointed Vice President of Marketing, and served in that capacity for seven years, from 1987 to 1993, when he chose to retire at the age of sixty.
Bob was married to his loving wife “Millie” Mildred Fetzer, of Fremont, Ohio for 70 years. He was survived by two brothers, Fred Fetzer of Delray Beach, Florida, and Joe Fetzer of Hollywood, Florida.
