Brett Lynn Schoenfeld

He is survived by his young son, Owen Schoenfeld, 13, and wife, Jessica Schoenfeld, of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by his mother, Susan Nolan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; father, Lee Schoenfeld (Lynn Schoenfeld) of Sarasota, Florida; brother, Matthew Schoenfeld of Fredericksburg, Virginia; stepsister, Tiffanie Shakespeare (Carl Lerche, Alexander, and Elise) of Portland, Oregon. Son-in-law to Michael and Nancy Male; brother-in-law to Sarah Male (Kevin Edelen); Uncle to Kyle and Kaeden Edelen, all of Jacksonville Florida. He will also be greatly missed by their dog, Rocco.

Brett was a loving father, husband, son, brother, son-in-law, uncle, nephew, and friend to many. He grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with a passion for dirt bike riding and skateboarding.

In 2000, at the age of 20, Brett moved down to Jacksonville, Florida, with his lifelong childhood friends. He was a very loyal and devoted employee of 22 years, working as a mechanic and then as a shop foreman at Cycles of Jacksonville.

During that time, he befriended many of his coworkers and clients. Brett and Jessica were together for 18 years and were married on May 25, 2014, in Siesta Key, Florida, in a beautiful beach ceremony. Throughout the years, they made many great memories while raising their amazing and loving son, Owen. Brett was a genuinely good person inside and out and loved his son unconditionally. His untimely death was a shock to all and will leave a gap in everyone’s hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 27th at 11 AM at Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill located at 2309 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
