Burne was born on August 12, 1969, to Waltraud Hill and Burne W. Hill, II. After graduating from Clermont High School, Burne joined the U.S. Army where he was a Combat Engineer, graduated from Airborne School, and served in Operation Desert Storm. Burne was a force of nature who was larger than life. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He had an immense passion for helping others and dedicated much of his free time to volunteering and serving those experiencing homelessness.
His daughter Sydney (“The B”) meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of her and instilled in her his positive, caring, determined personality. Burne was a constant at Sydney’s sporting events and did everything in his power to support her.
Anyone who knew Burne knew that he was passionate about life. He loved to read and travel. He loved all sports and had a wonderful (and often unfiltered) sense of humor. Burne touched the lives of everyone he met and he made the world a brighter place. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
He is survived by his daughter, Sydney Bright Hill, life-partner, Valerie Howard, sister, Michele Hill, and a wealth of friends that he considered family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church of Eleven22, 14286 Beach Boulevard, on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 3:00. Flowers may be sent to this location.
