Carolyn S Struble

On Sunday, Aug. 26, Carole left her earthly body to be with God! She was a very beautiful lady and soul, loved by many, and she will be sorely missed. She was extremely funny, with an infectious laugh and a sense of humor to go along with it! She dearly loved her friends and family and definitely lived life to its fullest!

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Katherine Cravis, Terre Haute, Ind.; grandparents, George and Nellie Kingery, also of Terre Haute; and her daughter, Kimberly Spence-Ray, Clear Lake, Texas.

Carole is survived by her husband, Don Struble, Jacksonville, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Rebecca Spence, Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Mark Hinkle, Newburgh, Ind.; and stepsons, Jeff, Scott and Kevin Struble, and their spouses Lisa, Mandy and Jill, all from Florida, respectively. Carole was blessed to have 14 wonderful grandchildren, Kelly, Bryan and Ashley Ray (Cyran), Ryan Corley, Megan Hinkle, Erick and Samantha Struble, Leah and Natasha Struble, Lauren Struble, Aiden and Ava Varney, and Margaux and Lucas Struble. Carole was also blessed to have five great-grandchildren.

Carole was a 1955 graduate of Garfield High School in Terre Haute, Ind. where she was a cheerleader and member of the Pep Squad. She also performed as a majorette for the band and was a member of the Terre Haute Junior Women's Society. Carole went on to attend Indiana State University as a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine and Daughters of the Nile. She worked at and retired from the Vigo County Health Department and was active in the Vigo County Democratic Party.
