Carolyne Blackstone Cosmato, 80, died away August 4, 2012. A breast cancer survivor, she fought a courageous battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s before her passing. She grew up in Atlanta and was the epitome of a true southern lady. A longtime Beaches resident, she was an active member of Beaches Chapel Church where she was a dedicated and passionate children’s Sunday School teacher and member of the Senior Saints. She had a love of gardening and her constant Pomeranian companion. Survivors include her sons, John Jay Cosmato II and Jeffrey Marsham Cosmato, wife, Michelle Myers Cosmato; grandchildren, Cara D. Cosmato and Christopher M. Cosmato and John Jay Cosmato III and Gracie Cosmato; and two great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8th in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd.,Jax Bch. Interment will follow in H. Warren Smith Cemetery.
