Cassidy was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL. She graduated from Leon High School in 2015. She worked for the Park Avenue Inn while in High School and shortly after. Then, she decided to move to Jacksonville, FL. Cassidy worked for UPS in Jacksonville. She was an active member of the Teamsters 512 United Movement. Cassidy worked hard to bring awareness to worker's rights. She also advocated tirelessly for women's rights along with many other causes. Cassidy also worked part-time at Tabula Rasa Brewing in Jacksonville.
She was independent, strong willed, compassionate, and kind. She was funny and unique. Cassidy loved the outdoors. Some of her favorite hobbies included nature walks, paddling kayaks in rivers and springs, fishing, and collecting seashells. She loved reading books and listening to music. Another of her favorite things to do was making charcuterie boards. One of Cassidy's greatest joys was taking care of her Treeing Walker Coonhound, Maggie.
Cassidy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and coworkers. She is survived by her parents, Christina and Michael Mongeon, brother Patrick Mongeon, brother Mike Tercyak(Marsha), niece Emily, nephew Mason, boyfriend Chris Tanton, paternal grandmother Gael Mongeon, paternal grandfather Ronald Hebert(bonnie Smith) Aunt Mickey Dyer, Uncle Matt Mongeon(Eileen) cousin Abby, Great Uncle Kerry Granfield (Christine), maternal grandmother Patricia Bass, Aunt Amy Henneman(Bill) cousins Angela Henneman and Crystal Thomas. Cassidy was predeceased in death by her maternal grandfather, Paul Bass.
A remembrance service will be held on the Terrace at Wakulla Springs on June 5th, 2021 in Crawfordville, FL. She always loved Wakulla Springs and visited there on her last visit to Tallahassee.
The family is forever grateful to Denise and Chris Tanton for all of the advocating they are doing to help us have JUSTICE FOR CASSIDY. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the ICU staff at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, FL for all of their care and compassion. Also, a shout-out to the UPS Teamsters 512 United Movement. All of your support and written tribute to Cassidy means a lot.
