Christina Marie Barnett, 52, passed away at her home October 13, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a resident of the beaches community since 1986 and member of St. Paul’s-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church. She was a proud Italian and her passion for food led her to open and operate Gennaro’s Italian Restaurant on Mayport Rd. She also opened NCOA and Academy Insurance Group until purchasing Frank’s Fresh Seafood which she and her business partner turned into Beachside Seafood.
Christina leaves behind her daughter, Cheryl Coleman (John); grandchildren, Owen & Juliana; extra-child, Taylor Barnett; former spouse, Bill Barnett; her Aunt Theresa with whom she shared a very special relationship; and eight brothers and sisters none of whom live in the area.
The family invites friends to remember Christina during a time of celebration on Friday, Oct. 18th from 5-8 p.m. at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. A service to commemorate her life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19th in the St. Paul’s-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, 465 11th Ave N Jacksonville Bch, FL.
