Constance “Connie” (Arne) Wood, 90, wife of James A. Wood, died following a brief illness in Jacksonville Beach, FL. She was born on May 28, 1923 in Arlington, MA, the daughter of the late Nina L. and Dr. James Arne. Connie graduated from Tabor Academy in Marion, MA and studied at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA and Tufts College in Medford, MA. She taught piano at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH and privately.
Connie is survived by Jim, her husband of 63 years, and two children, Signa A. (Dale) Watts and Kristin A. (Daniel) Dunklee, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and sister Ingeborg Courtney. She was predeceased by a daughter Licia A-W (Joe) O’Conor and a grandson, Alexander J. O’Conor.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 2:30pm at Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and on April 26, 2014 at 11am at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Food Pantry, Concord, NH.
