

He is survived by his parents, James and Etta York Rouse; his wife, Marie Turgeon Rouse; a sister, Pamela Reichmann of Jacksonville Beach, Florida (and brother-in-law Keith Reichmann); a son, Matthew Daniel Cline of St. Augustine, Florida.; a grandson, Cole Cline; and his first wife, Jeri Cline of Jacksonville. Other survivors include cousins, Susan Rouse, Stephen Rouse, Cindy Rouse, Vickie Y. Steele, Bruce E. York, Walter York, Barbara Knight, Charlene Rostomily, as well as an aunt, Dorothy Rouse.
Dan graduated from Western Military Academy in Alton, Ill. and attended Bradley University in Peoria. His passion was home construction and utilizing those skills, he and his father built homes in Danville. He was also employed by several hospitals in Danville and Jacksonville Fla., most recently as a Campus Operations Manager at The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. Dan was also an experienced swimming pool designer at Surfside Pools for several years. Upon retirement, his passions included riding his Triumph motorcycle, volunteering at Jacksonville Humane Society and assisting customers at The Home Depot in the electrical and plumbing departments.
Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Elizabeth Rouse; also grandparents, Homer and Mary York; and his uncles, Philip Rouse, John Rouse, Walter York, Charles York, Robert York and Donald York.
A private funeral with graveside services will be held in the family plot/grave site in Old Atherton Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. In addition, a memorial service in Atlantic Beach, Florida will be held.
