Darlene Lasala Lemmel

Darlene Lasala Lemmel, known as Layne, age 56 of Jacksonville Fl, passed away January 7th of 2024. She was born in Olongapo City, Philippines on November 14th of 1967. She was married to Frank C. Butler III (Bubba) on December 31st of 1992 with whom she had 3 children. They spent many years together and later divorced. Layne worked as a bartender for Miller's Alehouse, Chilli's, The fish house, Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium, and other local dive bars, her most recent occupation was a receptionist at general RV. She had a passion for singing her heart out, dancing, and cooking! Layne could brighten up any room without even trying. She had a smile so contagious even a stranger would smile back & she could make anybody laugh. Her beautiful soul made everyone around her feel so safe! She was such a hard-working woman, so on her free time she enjoyed going out and spending time with her friends, including her boyfriend, John but what she enjoyed most of all, was being a mom to her children and a Lola to her Grandson River. She was so Amazing & loved with her whole heart! She is survived by her Daughter, Danielle Butler, Son, Bodhi Butler, Grandson, River Lane Butler, Sisters DeAhna Orozco, Anna Kernaghan, Theresa Hereford, and Kelly Budd, Father David Lemmel, Stepmother Joy Shirven, Boyfriend John Campbell. Also Bobby Barfield, Irick Barfield and lots of cousins, Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She's preceded in death by her mother Lani Lemmel, and Her Best friend Kara Cash. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sat., Feb 17th at the Church of Eleven22, Arlington Campus, 651 Commerce Center Drive #100, Jax, FL 32225.
