She was born on December 8, 1928 in Dekalb County, Indiana to Minor and Virginia Botts.
She has been a resident of Jacksonville for 3 years coming from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ms. Watkins was a Commercial Artist as well as doing some freelance work most of her life. She was a graduate of The Art Institute in Chicago, Illinois. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Watkins and brothers Emmett Botts and Dick Botts.
She is survived by two sisters, Rose M. Scott of Jacksonville FL and Barbara L. Aiken of Valdosta, GA, three nieces, Joan Mcvoy, Diane Peterson, Linda DeBenedetto and two nephews, David Aiken and Michael Aiken.
Services will be held at a later date.
Family request that any donations in her name be made to Vitas Hospice.
