David Wayne Hines, 57, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 26, 2011. A native of Louisville, KY, he lived in Jacksonville for many years. He retired as a highly decorated Master Sgt. and Emergency Trauma Technician from the Air Force after 22 years of service.
David had an extensive background in the medical field working as a Deputy Rescue Chief in Maryland, ER Technician at St. Luke's Hospital, and as an Organ Procurement Technician at Mayo Clinic. David was loyal, friendly, and dedicated to his family, friends and career. He enjoyed hobbies such as bowling, traveling and reading his Bible and regularly attended Chets Creek Church. Survivors include his children, Christine Hines, 27, Crystal Griner, 25, and Jonathan Hines, 24; grandbabies, Keriona Griner, 2, and Cassidi Hines, 1; sister and brothers, Janet, Regina, Cecil, Scotty, and Junie; many nieces and nephews.
