Don Michael DeRiggs Jr.

March 3, 1983 – August 28, 2017

Don Jr. was born March 3, 1983 in New Orleans, LA on a very sunny day.

Don Jr. was the first-born child to Don Michael DeRiggs, Sr. and Marianne Bruner.

Don Jr. accepted Christ at a very you age while living in Miami. Don Jr. graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach, FL in 2001.

Don Jr. honorably served six years in the United States Army from July 2001-March 2008. While in the Army, Don served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He returned home and began working in the food service industry.

Don Jr., transitioned Monday, August 28, 2017 peacefully in his sleep. Don Jr. was preceded in death by both of his grandmothers, Eileen Hodge and Dorothy Davis.

Don Jr. is surived by his mother, Marianne Irwin; father, Don DeRiggs, Sr.; Pops, Maurice Irwin; brothers, Timothy Renard Williams II (Shannon), Jaret Cha’vez DeRiggs, and Tre’nez Kourtney Jamel DeRiggs; sisters, Alicia Jaynell Howard-Perry (Tony) and Reasean Phylicia DeRiggs; children, Jakayla Nicole DeRiggs, Jazmin Olivia DeRiggs, T’Liyah Michelle Freeman, Jeremiah Shane DeRiggs, Khrystiana Cynthia-Denise DeRiggs, Keyanika Shante’ Freeman, Mariyana Christina Freeman, and Zackariah James Freeman along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces and nephews.
