

He graduated from high school in Pawtucket, RI, where he played Little League Baseball with his father and brothers. From high school, Gramps joined the Navy as a radioman and served from 1962-1966, with his final port being Mayport, FL aboard the USS Shangri La. He met his wife, Jeannie and they were married in 1978. Gramps established his own construction company in Jacksonville, where he worked until he retired in 1995.
He helped establish the Jacksonville Beaches Gator Club fifteen years ago, where he served as Treasurer for at least ten years. Gramps was a member of the University of Florida Alumni Association and the American Legion Post #129.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jeannie; his son Anthony Bryan (his wife Lucy); his beloved granddaughters Chatham and Lucinda; a sister, Marianne, and two brothers, Barry and David. Gramps was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Norma and two brothers, Eddie and Tommy.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 22 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach with Father William Kelly officiating.
