Donna D. Cowsert

Donna D. Cowsert, 79 , passed away November 19, 2014 following a brave and valiant battle with cancer. Donna was a resident of the Beaches for more than 20 years and member of Palms Presbyterian Church. She had a longtime career in property management and Real Estate. Donna was lucky enough to find love later in life and spent many wonderful years with Randy Yaw. She was a talented artist specializing in acrylics, and filled their home with paintings. She was a proud member of the Pablo Painters and director of the Pablo Hamlet Artists. Donna loved life and was known for her kindness, strength, sassiness, and sense of humor.

Donna is survived by many loving friends and family, including her extended grand-kids, Jamie and Lexi. She was an amazing Mom to her 2 children, Paul (Chip) Shinkle and Colleen Welsh; as well as a proud, loving Grandma to Chris, Elizabeth, and Dan Shinkle and Nikki and Bobby Welsh. We salute her for a life well lived.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 3rd in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, Fl.
