Dorothy L Weaver passed away on September 27, 2011 at the age of 72 from Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her brother Ron. She left behind her son, Will, his wife, Jackie, daughter Alexis, their boys James, William; her daughter Heidi Hotaling, husband Bill Hotaling, their children, Jack, Sarah & Rachel. Dorothy led a full life as a mother. She raised her family on the North Shore of Oneida lake in Bernhard’s Bay NY. She tended an acre size garden, canning and pickling at the end of each season. She baked fresh bread for her family and catered wedding cakes for friends before becoming the Garde Manger chef at the exclusive Syracuse Corinthian Club and then onto the Lake Shore Country Club. After retiring to Sarasota, Florida with her husband, Jack, in the 1990s, she enjoyed time with friends and family in her home there. Dorothy was able to enjoy her final months with family in her home again which brought everyone much joy. She will be missed dearly.
