Doug and I were close friends from Junior through Senior High School in Port Washington. We played lacrosse all through school. We were in the same school fraternity and did several school and community projects together. Fall weekends were usually spent playing touch football. Doug’s dad and my dad worked hard to decorate the gym for our Senior Prom. Both dressed up as Spanish matadors to lead the procession of parent waiters into the gym to serve dinner before the dancing and celebration started. I think we were very proud of them. I count Doug as one of those close friends that helped make me a better person. Know that Doug will be remembered by many people who never had a chance to meet his family members. Rest In Peace my friend.
