Elinor M. Johnson, 97, passed away at home surrounded by her family on June 24, 2012. Born in Canada, she was a resident of Atlantic Beach, FL since 1957. She retired as a ward secretary from Beaches Hospital and was a member of Community Presbyterian Church and the Doe’s, the ladies extension of the Elks Club. Preceded in death by a son Gary Hurd, daughter Gail Herron, and husband Cyril Johnson, Elinor is survived by sons, Stephen (Laura) Johnson, Michael (Julie) Johnson, Stuart Johnson, Allen (Joyce) Johnson and Kevin (Mimi) Johnson; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27th at Beaches Memorial Park, 1500 Main St. Atlantic Beach, FL. Services are under the direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
