Geneva Christina Lovell Rice, 94, of Neptune Beach passed away on January 15, 2019. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 27, 1924. Geneva graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, Mt. Vernon, Ky. She married O.R. Rice on November 8, 1947.
As a homemaker, Geneva always created a warm, loving environment for her family and friends. She was a member of Neptune Baptist Church and had a passion for her children, quilting and cooking.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, O.R.; children, Karen Heninger, Betty Hatton, and John Rice; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother and a sister.
Visitation with family from 6-7 p.m. on January 22, 2019 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach. Committal Service at 2:00 p.m. on January 23, 2019 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Assembly Lane #2, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville.
