George Calvin Phillips, 88, of Neptune Beach, FL., passed away July 20th, 2021. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 11, 1932. Calvin graduated from Fletcher High School. He was married to Maxine Leino Phillips on March 28, 1958 until her passing on November 4th 1996.
Calvin worked as a Postal Carrier in Neptune Beach for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years. Calvin served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Phillips of Neptune Beach, and son, Kevin Phillips (Sherry) of Columbus, Ohio. Nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and his sister Betty Schuster. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy and Howard Phillips; and his sister, Jo Phillips Mickler. He is also survived by his long-time companion Betti Batts.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 2nd at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens.
