Gregory Keith Glass

Originally from Georgia, Keith worked with his grandfather, a carpenter, while attending Southern Tech (Southern Polytechnic State University) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology.

After graduating college in 1986 he married, started a family and started his own business building houses in the north Georgia area before moving to Jacksonville Beach, Florida in 1991. Over the next 23 years he drove a commercial truck for several disposal companies.

Beginning early in life Keith had a green thumb. As a small child he planted Nasturtium seeds around a Red Bud tree in the family yard. Soon lots of pretty blooms surrounded the tree. Everywhere he lived his yard was soon the prettiest in the neighborhood as he spent many hours making them magazine perfect.

Keith loved helping people. He was, as described by many, a Patriot, a great conservative, a stand-up guy, funny, loyal, caring and strong. He touched numerous lives and will be missed by many.

Keith is predeceased by his only biological child, beloved son Alexander Keith Glass, July 29, 2011. He is survived by his parents Fred and Helen Glass of Acworth, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law Anita (Glass) and Doug Neath of Concord, Georgia; adopted children Dawn (Glass) and Kevin Clark of Rome, Georgia and Amanda Glass of Lake Butler, Florida; nephews and nieces Justin, Sarah, Ethan and Christina Neath, great nieces Aubrey and Emma Neath all of Concord, Georgia; two feline fur babies, Simon and Ace.

A Memorial Service will be held to Celebrate Keith's Life on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Church of Christ, 422 5th Avenue, North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made in Gregory Keith Glass name to Muscular Dystrophy or your local hospice.
