Hector Manuel Santiago Diaz

Hector Manuel Santiago Diaz passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida. Hector was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and raised in Brooklyn, NY. After high school, he went on to work in the trucking industry for 44 years. He was a proud member of IBT Local Union 295 and loved the New York Yankees, Knicks, and Giants.

Upon retirement, he moved to Melbourne, Florida to be closer to his children and grandchildren, whom he loved greatly and cherished every moment they spent together.

Hector was predeceased in death by his sisters, Irma Feliciano and Evelyn Breault, and granddaughter, Krystal Jordan. He is survived by his companion of 40 years, Luisa Rodriguez, sisters Iris Serrano and Mildred Cancel, of Brooklyn, NY, son Paul Santiago (Nora) of Jacksonville, FL, daughters, Annmarie Sapp (Keith) of Kingsland, GA, and Tina Cortes of Kingsland, GA, ten grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held on December 19, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2400 Mayport Road, Atlantic Beach, FL 32224. A reception will immediately follow at the church.
