Holly Jordan Trout

Holly was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on February 19, 1988, to her loving parents, Thomas W. Trout III and Pamela Marie Foster. She was the younger sister of Austin Trout Billings and the older sister of Thomas W. Trout IV.

Holly grew up in Jacksonville and attended Wolfson High School. A passionate surfer, she competed in many contests, placing second in the Grom Surf Series and third at the ESA Regionals. She went on to graduate from the University of North Florida with a bachelor's degree in communication and advertising and began her marketing career at Swisher Company. She later worked in marketing for a local real estate company before stepping away to become a mother.

Holly was a light to all she met — a spunky, energetic soul whose magnetic presence brightened every room and drew in everyone around her. Thoughtful and intentional in everything she did, she brought out the best in others. Holly was a loving and devoted friend who held a deep commitment to making life fuller for everyone she met. Her greatest passions included surfing, fishing, boating, hunting, sunsets, the beach, baking yummy treats, and a good spicy margarita.

In 2019, Holly met the love of her life, Sean Joseph Brown. They soon married and welcomed their precious son, Bennett Joseph Brown — by far her greatest treasure. Holly was an exceptional mother, and together the three of them enjoyed so many of her passions: searching for sharks' teeth, spending time at the hunting camp in Georgia, sunsets on the beach, boat days, fishing excursions and Jaguar games. An avid runner and fitness enthusiast, Holly embraced a healthy lifestyle alongside Sean and Bennett. Holly was also an amazing and fun auntie to her niece and nephews.

Most importantly, Holly was a woman of strong faith who devoted her life to Christ. As so many witnessed in her final weeks, her testimony never wavered. She continued to reach for her "one more" and led countless people to Jesus throughout her life.

Holly was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas W. Trout II; Charles and Mary Costolo; her mother, Pamela Marie Foster; and her sister, Jordan Marie Trout.

Holly is survived by her husband, Sean Joseph Brown; her son, Bennett Joseph Brown; her in-laws, Joseph Brown, Eileen Brown, and Elise Brown; her father, Thomas W. Trout III; grandmother, Joan Henry Trout; her stepfather, Mark Foster; her sister and brother-in-law, Austin Trout Billings and Ryan Billings, and their children, Henry, Ford, and Jackson Billings; and her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas W. Trout IV and Michelle Trout, and their children, Brooklynn and soon-to-be-born Thomas W. Trout V.

A celebration of Holly's life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Eleven22, San Pablo Campus. The family will hold a private burial following the service.
