Inez Diane (Cardoni) Mellow, age 95, passed away on October 16, 2020, in Jacksonville, FL. Born in Eynon, PA, to parents Anthony and Tillie (Andreoli) Cardoni, Inez graduated from Marywood College (University) with a degree in dietetics. She was married to Emil A. Mellow for 59 years, enjoying their wonderful life in the Air Force and traveling around the world. At the age of 48, Inez attended Trenton State College where she earned a BFA graduating Magna Cum Laude. She used her creative talent to become a museum quality artist especially well known for her watercolors and “kimono themed” paintings. With an active and inquisitive mind, Inez was a great storyteller. She even wrote her own book of poems and psalms at the age of 89. She was greatly loved and an inspiration to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Emil (Retired Dr./Col. USAF) and brother, Edwin Cardoni. She is survived by her son, Chris (Gail) Mellow of Summerville, SC; daughter, Diane (Dave) Morico of Neptune Beach, FL; and son, Emil (Cynthia) Mellow II of Hockessin, DE; grandchildren, Alexandra, Emily, Jacqueline, David, Angela, Phoenix, Kelsey and five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dolly Cardoni, and many nieces,
nephews and friends. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
