On November 4, 2014 at 6:20 A.M., while sleeping, James Sherman (Sherm) Pearson slipped into eternity and woke up walking the streets of Glory with his Lord and Savior, Jesus of Nazareth. He was born in Akron Ohio on September 24, 1931 to Eugene and Annie Pearson. He was raised in the Akron area where he joined the Army National Guard of Ohio at the age of 16. He served with distinction earning an honorable discharge in 1950. He married and started a family in 1949 and raised his children in the Akron area until moving to Columbus Ohio. Sherm was a life-long salesman working in the water-conditioning business until he retired in 1999. Sherm and his wife Sharon moved to Orlando Florida in 1981. He moved from Orlando in 2014 to be closer to his son who lives in Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; Eugene and Annie Pearson, his sister; Dixie Casio, his brother; William ‘Bill” Pearson, his granddaughter; Rose Pearson, and by his beloved wife of 34 years, Sharon Pearson. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law; Eugene Edward and Anne Pearson, his daughter and son-in-law; Connie and Ron Eitel, his son and daughter-in-law; James and Carolyn Pearson, his son and daughter-in-law; Dana and Stella Pearson, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous friends. Sherm lived a long and independent life until near the end. He will be greatly missed and loved always but we have that blessed assurance that we will see him once again when we cross over to where he is now celebrating with the angels and praising his God.
