James B. Sherman, Jr., 37, passed away at home on June 16, 2013. Born in Tampa, he was a longtime resident of Jacksonville where he attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. Jamie was a talented pastry chef and enrolled in the Culinary Institute of Arts (CIA) in Napa Valley. He had a love for animals and was a Star Wars fanatic. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Bella Sears, he leaves behind his parents, Kathryn Sherman, Amy Coleman and Roy Tyre; canine companions, Jade & Missy; two aunts and one uncle in Rhode Island and a multitude of friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Jamie’s life will be held 6 p.m. Friday, June 28th in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
