John Powers Quandt, 80, passed away August 24, 2022 at Baptist Beaches Hospital, Jacksonville Beach, FL. Born in New York to Mr. & Mrs. Henry Quandt on February 11, 1942 and moved to Jacksonville Beach when he was 8 years old. There he met his longtime friend Joe (Skippy) Hatfield. John later served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 129 and American Legion 233. He was preceded in death by his long time love, Eve Widman. John was a good, kind man who had a smile for everyone. John had many friends who loved him and he will surely be missed.
