Karen Denise Childers entered eternal rest on April 12, 2021 with her husband by her side. She fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer for the last 14 months. Denise was born on July 23, 1959 in Florence, South Carolina. She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin G. Alexander. She is also survived by her dear cousin Michael S. Boyle, Kenneth C. Boyle, James A Boyle III, Berit J. Boyle, Robert M. Boyle, Camilla Boyle, Ryan Boyle and Carson Boyle. Denise was preceded in death by her parents Franklin Childers and Norma Boyle Childers and her grandparents.
While Denise was born in Florence, her wonderful childhood and adolescent memories are from time living in Savannah, Georgia and the Brunswick/St, Simons area where her father's job sent them. Family was very special to Denise. Church activities, football games and school activities filled their lives. She also held the beach trips and antique shopping trips with her mother very dear to her heart. Antiques from family were dearly loved by Denise. The family's last move was to Neptune Beach, Florida. Here Denise furthered her education and had job opportunities. She attended Florida State University and the University of North Florida enjoying college and sororiety life. She received her undergraduate and later received a paralegal degree. Denise's discipline and desire for perfection allowed her to be respected as a trust officer at Florida National Bank as well as at CSX.
The family would like to thank Community Hospice, especially Nancy B., for all the care and attention given to Denise. Many thanks to our friends who made their "driveway" visits. Those were special times.
