

Klaus Hirschler, 82, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2014 after a long illness. Klaus was born March 18, 1931 in Gundersheim, Germany to Jakob and Lydia Hirschler. He spent his childhood in Germany and came to the United States in 1956 with Mercedes-Benz. Klaus worked for Mercedes-Benz for over 40 years in various capacities, including as the Parts and Service Manager over the entire Southeast Region, until his retirement in 1994. After his retirement, he enjoyed playing golf at the Selva Marina Country Club. He was also instrumental in helping establish the family irrigation business, Hulihan Territory. Klaus will always be remembered for his love of music, gardening, and his ability to fix everything using anything.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat; his son, Alex Hirschler (his wife Abbe); his daughter, Tania Lynn; his step-children, Thomas Hulihan (Kelly), Michael Hulihan (Tina) and Scott Hulihan (Tracy); and his grandchildren, Thomas, Mack, Michaela, Julianna, Hayden, Cole, Paige, Sidney, Ryan, Caitlin, Zac, Kylee, and Emoree. Klaus was preceded in death by his wife, Vera, and his brothers and sisters in Germany.
A celebration of Klaus’ life will be held 11am, Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
