Kyrie Higginbotham, 33, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 8, 2021. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 13, 1987. Kyrie enjoyed her job as private nanny and touched the lives of her charges and their families.
She had a passion for spin bikes, deep sea fishing, kayaking and cooking. She cherished her daddy & daughter dates having coffee on the beach at sunrise and at the annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance car show. Her dad had his very own fishing buddy, car show companion, a walk-on-the beach buddy, and bike buddy. She was his prayer partner, his love and his sweet Kyrie. Mom & daughter also shared special times with coffee in hand shopping, shopping and more shopping. They were a Lucy & Ethel team, not getting into too much trouble! Kyrie was always so much fun and loved by so many people.
She walked in the sweet Christian life with The Lord and would walk around the house listening to Christian praise & worship music with her Air Pods singing at the top of her lungs. Mom & Dad would have to wave their arms at her to get her to pay attention if they needed to talk to her. Kyrie loved all people, her friends (too many to count) especially her boyfriend, Matthew Smith. She truly adored her family, each & every one of them, and would tell you or text at least 10 times a day that she loved you. She also loved her Nanny so much and would call her every other day. Her dad, Steve and mother, Janice have been truly blessed to be Kyrie’s parents. They know she was their miracle gift from God and they are so grateful to our Lord for blessing them with her. Kyrie’s older sister, Daisha and brother, Christian were always there for her and loved her and she loved them back. If you knew Kyrie, you knew she loved & cared for you and you would know real quick that she loved The Lord. She would pray for you in a moment- in the grocery store, in a parking lot, at the bank, or while shopping. It happened all the time!
Kyrie is survived by her Nanny, Marjorie Sutton; Dad & Mom, Steve & Janice Higginbotham; sister and brother-in-law, Daisha & Tim Allen; brother & sister-in-law, Christian & Tammi Harrington; niece, Presley Gainey; two precious great nephews, Jordan & Jayden; one sweet princess great-niece, Jasmine; nephew, Brandon Duke; aunts, uncles & many cousins-all very loved by our Kyrie! A home going celebration for our sweet Kyrie will be held 11 am, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Neptune Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest at 12:30 pm, Monday, February 15, 2021 at the Pineview Cemetery, 128 Milton St. Folkston, Georgia 31537. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm, Friday, February 12, 2021 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, Florida. For those who prefer, donations may be made to “Give Kids the World” in memory of Kyrie Higginbotham.
