

Leland was born in Clarence, Illinois on January 8,1934, to Lester and Ruth Lammle. Leland grew up in Gibson City, Illinois, where he played football for Fisher High School. He served 4 years in the US Army, 2 of those years were with an Engineer Battalion during the Korean War – where he participated in building runways for the war effort. Upon his return home, he worked at the family business, Lammle Lanes, where he met and married, Mary V. Major in September 1956.
Leland and Mary moved to Jacksonville Beach in 1961, where he was employed by Florida East Coast Railroad. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church since 1961. In the 70's, he began working in the construction industry, where he became a State Certified Contractor.
Leland is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lammle, his daughter, Tamara Denise Meadows, and his sisters Shirley Clearwater and Joyce Lang.
He is survived by his son, Robert L Lammle (Carolyn), his granddaughter Alicia C Lammle, grandson Benjamin R Lammle (Fallyn), grandson Reid A Meadows, and great-grandson Rowan B Lammle. Leland is also survived by his sister, Lois Vetter of Gibson City, Illinois.

Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1423 8th Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach, on February 8th, at 11:00 a.m.
