Louis W. Reese

Louis W. Reese, ICC, USN (Retired) went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 8, 2018. He was born in Highlands, NC and was a resident of Atlantic Beach for more than 50 years.

He retired from the United States Navy as a Chief Interior Communications Electrician. Upon retirement, he worked in facilities maintenance for HUD Housing.

Mr. Reese was a faithful servant for over 30 years at Oak Harbor Baptist Church. He served the church as a deacon, counting SS attendance and the weekly offering. He loved listening to his wife of 38 years, Sandy singing about Jesus and is now rejoicing in Heaven with her and his Lord.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Richard and daughter, Susan. He leaves behind his daughters, Debbie Santoro, Rebecca Reese, and Sonja Dunkley; son, Bobby Harrell; brother, Danny Reese; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate the life of Louis Reese will be held at 1pm on Monday, Jan. 21st in the Oak Harbor Baptist Church with burial to follow at Beaches Memorial Park.

I attended Oak Harbor Baptist a few years back. I remember Louis and Sandy. They were always there both smiling and helping out anyone who needed help. I am saddened to hear of his passing. He is now reunited with his loved ones. His smile and graciousness will be missed.
