Margaret M. Bourgeois

Margaret Marie Bourgeois, 86, entered heaven’s gate peacefully on November 25, 2015. Margaret was born in Hancock, Michigan on January 25, 1929. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She was an avid Jaguars fan, loved to play Bingo and spend time with her family. She is the last survivor of six siblings and loved to share stories of their childhood.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Michael Ray Bourgeois of Atlantic Beach, Florida; five children, Ray Michael Bourgeois (Mary Ann) of Lorton, VA, Diane Hoch of Jacksonville Beach, Tina Rumburg (David) of Gastonia, NC, Al Bourgeois (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, FL and Steve Bourgeois (Melinda) of Montgomery, AL. She was a devoted grandmother to 19 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 25.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville and to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, McGraw Center for Caring in Jacksonville for their tender care and support in her final days.

The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 1st, in St. John’s Catholic Church, Atlantic Beach, FL with a viewing 30 minutes prior. She will be entombed at Beaches Memorial Park immediately following the Mass. Her beautiful smile, her funny (accidental) sense of humor and unconditional love will be remembered by all.
