Following a life spent nurturing all around her, Margaret Seymour, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2013. Born in Fresco City, Alabama, she was a resident of Jacksonville for the last 45 years. Mom, as known by many more than just her own, passed peacefully at home according to her wishes. Should the hearts we touch amass heavenly wealth, she must surely enjoy a bounty unmeasured.
She is survived by her loving spouse of 41 years, Arnold J. Erdman, two sons: S. Edward Jerkins and Allen W. Jerkins and their spouses, two granddaughters: Heather Quick and Kalinda Jerkins, two sisters: Doris Crawford and Nellie Hendricks, and one brother: Herman Goodman. She will be remembered and missed by many more than can be listed.
Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL on Monday, October 14 from 12-1pm with a funeral service following at 1pm. A committal service will follow immediately after at H. Warren Smith Cemetery.
