Marie Estelle Parsons

PARSONS- Marie Estelle Parsons, 92, passed away October 18, 2010. She was a longtime resident of the Jacksonville Beaches. A dedicated member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, she was a humble woman who volunteered her time there and also at the American Red Cross at Mayport.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Earl; her son, John Spencer Parsons; and a grandson, Christopher Robert Getz.

Survivors include her three daughters, Mary Thirtyacre, Ellen Anderson (Andy), and Ann Parsons; a son, Robert Earl Parsons; four grandchildren, Anne Marie Leeper, Alan Earl Anderson, Spencer Brodgen, and Spencer Jeffrey Parsons; and two great-grandchildren, Colten Nelson and Anniston Leeper.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, October 21, 2010, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in H. Warren Smith Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday (today) at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
