Marvin M. Rahn, age 86, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020. Marvin was born in Modoc, Illinois on July 8, 1934. He graduated from East Alton-Wood River High School. He was married to Luella Jane Turnbeaugh on February 14, 1990.
He had a career as a maintenance foreman/carpenter for Shell Oil Refinery. He served as president of a musicians union. His pastimes included woodworking and music.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Jane Rahn; son, Jim Rahn; daughters, Jada Rahn, Belinda Douglas, and Dana Kirkpatrick; step-sons Raymond Dillon, Harold Dillon and Randy Dillon; step-sister Elaine Slow; brothers, Leroy Simon and Harold Simon. Marvin is further survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great-grandchildren.
Marvin was preceded in death by step-daughter, Angela King; brothers, Earl Rahn, Robert Bowers and Alvin Bowers.
A memorial service for Marvin will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, 907 Jungermann Rd., St. Peters, MO 63376.
