Mary Jane Wade

Mary Jane Wade, 71, of Atlantic Beach, FL, passed away unexpectedly at her home, on July 8th, 2015. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17th at 3:00 at Hardage- Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, followed by a memorial celebration at the American Legion 1127 Atlantic Blvd., Atlantic Beach, FL 32233 at 4:00. Mary Jane was born in Villisca, Iowa on December 24th, 1943, and was a long time resident of Atlantic Beach.

Mary Jane worked as a tax preparer for H & R Block for a number of years and prior to that she worked for the City of Jacksonville Beach. She enjoyed camping at the lake, and spending time with her children and grandchildren in her back yard and pool.

Mary Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister. Everyone loved her incredible sense of humor, as she always had a smile on her face and a gift for making everyone else laugh.

Mary Jane is survived by her daughters Jackie Wolfe and Marci Gray (spouse Asher Gray) her son Jay Wade, her grandchildren Jessie and Jamie Wolfe, Colby and Asher (Chase) Gray, Anna and Keegan Wade, great-grandchild Zoe Fitz, her sisters Bonnie Elverum and Bernice Adams, her brother Bill McFarland, 12 nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by her husband Arthur James Wade (A.J.) in 1991, her significant other David Ross in 2012, her parents Laura and Clyde McFarland and her sister Wanita Anderson.
