

Pamela Kaye (Buchanan) Rogers, 68 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away at her home on the 9th of May, 2026. Pam was born in Morganfield, Kentucky on September 23rd, 1957 to Nancy and William Buchanan. Pam attended public schools in East Chicago and Merrillville Indiana, enjoyed being a Pom Pom girl for her high school sporting events and was a Merrillville High School graduate of the Class of 1975.
Pam married her best friend Neil in Maui, Hawaii in August of 1984.
Pam, a very proud 20 year veteran of the US Navy had a very successful career in Aviation Supply and Aviation Supply Instruction. Pam was stationed in many locations abroad including Hawaii, Guam and Sicily, which allowed her and her family to travel to Hong Kong, Philippines, France, Germany, Romania, Netherlands and Italy among others.
Pam recently retired from her second 20 year career which included the management of the accounts receivable department at Marsh Landing Mgmt Co.
Pam holds an Associates degree from the University of Maryland.
Pam is survived by her loving husband Neil of 42 years. Pam is also survived by her daughter Jennifer (Joe) Watkins along with her precious grandchildren Haylin, Joseph and Grace. Pam’s sister Patti (Harry) Davis, her brothers; Bill (Leigh) Buchanan and Mike (Gina) Buchanan who all also survive her.
Pam leaves behind her many cherished nieces and nephews; Tyler, Harry, Chloe, Melissa, Eva, Lyric, Ashley and Abi and her many cousins across the country and abroad. Pam leaves behind her long time confidant and friend Pam Jeffress.
Pam was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan since birth and enjoyed attending the Florida Gator games with her friends.
Her pups have been her passion for 19 years with Paco (who survives her) and her little Buddy whom she deeply missed. Pam has been a fanatic of 70’s rock and roll music and recently developed a love of country music.
Throughout her lifetime Pam has instilled upon all those around her a love for reading. Her quick wit, sense of humor, protectiveness of her loved ones and passion to share her love of Jesus will be greatly missed.
On June 5th, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. (LANE # 1) a formal military service will be performed at her final resting place, Jacksonville National Cemetery; 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville (just north of JAX airport). An informal gathering to celebrate her life will follow.
