Pat was born to Frank and Carole Shartran, January 29, 1961, in Springfield, Ohio. Upon graduation from Catholic Central High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy as an Electronic Warfare Technician. Pat went on to serve 23 years before retiring as a Chief in 2003.
Pat had a love for water, where he spent the majority of his Naval career, traveling the world. His great passion for water motivated him to pursue a second career as a partner in a marine electronics company. Pat spent his spare time with his family and friends he loved most dearly, barbecuing, playing softball, listening to Jimmy Buffett, and camping (on the water of course).
Pat is survived by his mother, Carole (George) Belcher; son, Zachery (Cora) Shartran; daughter, Chelsea (Ryan) Rodgers; grandsons, Landon and Brantley Rodgers; brother, Michael (Dede) Shartran; and sister, Michelle Shartran (Melissa Ross).
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Shartran, and sister, Yvonne Shartran.
Funeral services will be held December 28, 11 am, at the Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens. Burial will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 pm, where Pat will receive full honors.
