Words are so difficult to come by, in times like these, but our thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys, as we're all deeply saddened by the loss of our dear, Phil.  If there's one thing I will always cherish and remember about him the most. It's his big bright beautiful smile! He always seemed to smile from ear to ear! My heart goes out to you and your boys, I know this is not easy, but know that even complete strangers are thinking and praying for you all. My son Shawn Collins worked with Phil, and I know he was there and helped you. Phil was always very nice to myself and my husband when we were there, he will be greatly missed.

Phillip Joseph Hoban was a friend all my life. I was always glad to see Phil every time he paddled out on the Southside of the Jacksonville Pier. In my life I have been blessed to be able to recognize the men and women who just stood out from the crowd for something good. Phillip Joseph Hoban was one of those. Quiet manner, huge physical stature, and always a gentleman. He commanded respect from his peers. My heart goes out to you for your loss.
