Phyllis Guerra-Phillips died at the age of 66 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born at the Beaches on October 6, 1947, the daughter of Robert and Jenny Guerra. She attended St. Paul’s Catholic School, Bishop Kenny, University of South Florida, Salisbury State University and Loyola of Baltimore College. She was a member of St. Paul’s and Our Lady Star of the Sea Churches in FL and MD. An active member of St. Paul’s, she played many roles in the Ministry of Mothers Sharing groups. She served many years as a teacher, guidance counselor and elementary principal.
She was married to the late Robert Phillips, Jr. for over 30 years and is survived by her children: John Larkin Phillips and Robert Wimbrow Phillips III, her daughters-in-law: Angela and Kimberly, and her grandchildren: Noah, Emily, Jack, Josh, and Anna Grace. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and grandmother.
Funeral arrangements and service will be held at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home located at 1701 Beach Blvd in Jacksonville Beach, at 11:00 am on Thursday the 18th, of September 2014. Memorial contributions may be made to CurePSP at www.psp.org.
